I had planned on writing a lot about quilting last night, but I didn't want to drink coffee too late in the evening. I'm writing about it at this time, but I forgot what I wanted to write about last night. Instead, I'll write about knitting at 5am with Italian love songs on the radio.
I decided to take the day off from work last Friday because it was 16 degrees, and I didn't feel like walking to work in 16 degree weather. I didn't call in sick, I called in cold. Anyway, I knitted a lot during the day, and it was amazing how many rows I had to do over because I messed up my knits with my purls. For instance, I'm knitting a baby blanket with a chevron pattern, and in one row I may need to knit 5 purls then 3 knits, and in the next row, I may need to knit 5 knits, then 3 purls, and then the next row I may need to knit 1 purl and 7 knits. There was a time I had to redo most of a row because I saw that the number of stitches at the end of the row were not correct. I redid the row. Then I had to redo the next row at some point. It was very weird. A testament to my spacing out during knitting. I think I would rather not be in the *zone* if it means I have to redo a row ;)
When I was knitting this morning, I had to redo a row after about 6 rows of doing ok. That was annoying. It's turning out to be a pretty blanket :).
