Coffee Musings - 031107

I live near DC, and the DC region holds no appeal to me. I live in an impractical place because I don't have a car. It was recommended to me to find a place in the suburbs of Maryland near DC because DC is the place to get jobs. That is true. I was able to find a job in no time, after struggling for many years in Seattle. However, the only good thing about this area is that I live near my twin. She lives near Baltimore. Why don't I find a job in Baltimore, and move to be closer to her? Baltimore's a dump. DC holds little appeal, Baltimore is a dump, and because I don't have a car, my twin has to drive 40 minutes each way to pick me up. I'm at a loss.

I want to move to Burlington, Vermont, but that would mean away from my sister. The closer I get to my sister the closer I get to Baltimore which has no appeal, and the further away from DC which has the jobs. If only I had a car, things would be easier, but I haven't had a car most of my adult life, so the fact is I live a city dwellers lifestyle. I couldn't do anything like buy a car or move anyway since I don't have the resources at this time, but what a stalemate time of life. I bet people could teach me how to quilt in Vermont.
