I realized that beyond the ritual of coffee there was something else I need to give up - the texture. Yes, yes, yes, I drank coffee so that I wouldn't spend as much money in cafes ordering frothy-milk drinks. We'll there is a difference, and if life is to be lived luxoriously then it must be frothy milk. That's why I threw away my coffee machine at home, and the one I had a work. No matter what, when it comes to the taste and smell of the coffee bean, I was going to be a snob. However, now I'm taking the experience up a notch to where it was for many many years by focusing on the sensual pleasure of frothy texture.
I haven't had morning cups of coffee recently, why bother? However, when I taste that first sip of a cappuccino I instanly inhale the time in Seattle that I considered my most adventurous. I LOVE frothy milk drinks - skim milk, lowfat milk need not apply. I want the full fat whole milk and a shot of espresso. Take me back to the light, and relegate these cheap cups of coffee to emergencies.
