Cindy Sheehan has given up the fight. She has a lot of courage just to start the fight, and people listened to her, and some threatened her life, but I think what she did was the most a USer can do besides voting, and knowing their legislatures. Her son died in the Iraq war, and she didn't sit still, and consider it a just death. Protest, very American thing to do. When it gets the attention of courageous lawyers, and legislatures . . . well, then you've got change on the horizon.
I used to participate in quite a few marches, but my marching days are over. Only once did I go with someone who was more than a co-worker (i.e., my twin) and that was the only march that I didn't feel lonely. Within those masses of people we can get lost, and some may like that new sensation, but it was a sensation that I thought I would lose within a march. Oh well, good causes anyway.
