Coffee Musings - 062707

I'm ready for summer to be over. Ohmygawd! Yesterday, as I was walking home with two loads of groceries, and rather hot and humid, I couldn't wait to get inside my air conditioned apartment. Unfortunately, my air conditioning wasn't working. I was so annoyed I slept with the ac off, and the windows opened. That's not a bad thing, mind you, but I wanted the AC. It was cooler outside. It's working a little this morning, so I wonder if something just needs to be jiggled and wiggled to fit properly again. Mecury retrograde here we come!

I've recommended eating a lot of fruit. Eat a lot a few hours before you go to bed, and you'll wake up more refreshed than what you expected. Since I had the windows opened, I was listening to all of the sounds, and I didn't think I would wake up refreshed as it would be too hot and too noisy. I swear, though, that fruit just turned my bloodstream happy!

I tried another piece of CakeLove cake for dinner. I think they use more butter in their buttercream than Simply Desserts in Seattle. Same nice sweet/airy taste on the chocolate cake. A little dry. Only 111 more cookie recipes to make until I switch to cakes.

After I finish my 200 cookie drafts I should focus on 20 recipes and just make them spectacular. Maybe 30-50. Somehow get recipes going for the long haul. Maybe 20. I was just looking at the Simply Desserts website, and when I bake cakes I'll focus on the list at Simply Desserts , and CakeLove, and Firehook for recipe ideas.
