Coffee Musings - 073007

Actually, I didn't drink coffee yet. I'm trying to eat a lot of fruit over the next 3 days so I wouldn't have to drink coffee. Yesterday I was just sluggish. It could very well be the weather, but I think I need a lot of fruit for a pick-me-up.

I'm reading a Howard Zinn book, and I may read Civil Disobedience by Thoreau because of it. Man, who'd knew. I think blogs, and podcasts, and other forms of independent media are just what this country needs as they level the playing field at least a little. Once people find a reason to stop watching TV as much as they do then the conglomerates involved with TV will be shaking in their boots. What would cause people to stop watching TV, though? Is that really the goal? I think the goal is responsible newscasting, but they are owned by special interests.
