My parents 45th anniversary today. Holy cow that's a lot of years.
I've realized I'm obsessive compulsive. Compulsive is like impulsive which reminds me of freedom. I guess there are limits though, eh? There is compulsive as in taking out 5 books from the local library at one time, and there is compulsive as in buying 5 books at the local independent bookstore. See the difference? The long term affect of one is obviously greater than the other as evidenced by bills. I'm definitely obsessive. 15 Pearl Jam shows, and I'm sortof in awe of those that have been to 60. I guess they are obsessive, too, eh? Hopefully, not as impulsive. Either or, if in the long run I have to take medication for this I hope it doesn't make me too different. I think compulsiveness is a behavior to unbehave. I don't see myself becoming less obsessive though, unless I just find stuff to do with my time. That's what usually ends it.
What brought about this introspection is that today I saw Becoming Jane for the 6th time. Nothing to be proud of, but I'm not ashamed either. Of course, look at the work on that blog! I saw Pride & Prejudice in the movie theater 7 times, Persuasion 2 times, Shakespeare in Love 2 times, and a couple others a couple times. Not all movies, just movies based on favorite authors. So, at least I have a limit to the compulsion, but it is based on obsession. I think after I reread the Jane Austen novels I'll join the Jane Austen Society of North American. Once the movies hit the DVD market then I can knit to them. Obsessive, and yet productive :)

Hi Cookie Empress! (or shall I call you Bella?)
Wow... you saw BJ 6 times! Man... I saw it only four times, though I wanted to see it more! But of course, the DVD is coming up soon, and I have placed my pre-order.
And thank you so much for mentioning the BJ Fansite blog. It's nice to have friends like you.
Take care!
Icha
When is the DVD coming up in the US?
