Coffee Musings - 100207

What is it about today, October 2nd? Is it a holiday? Hmmm, I have to remember what the deal is with October 2nd. I woke up drowsy and it could be because a lot of light comes into my room during the night. I guess my apartment is near an outside window. All these 4 years that I have been here I haven't bought a black-out shade. I should do that. I tried wearing eye shades, but it hurt my eye lids. Life will be rough unless I take action :)

I read Neruda this morning. Good way to wake up in the morning. All his words that in common speech do not mesh, but within his poems add a layer of texture both visually and verbally. Sometimes I think I should limit my poetry shelves to just a few authors, and I've kindof done that already. It's easier to try out a new novelist than a new poet.
