Coffee Musings - 123107

Next year will be fun even though I will officially enter middle age. Well, there you go. The year will be a year of finishing needlepoint projects, and borrowing library books, going to knitting groups, and running running running. Right up my alley, really. Stuff I really like to do.

I was trying to figure out what is fun in my life, and most of it isn't that laugh out loud fun. A lot is enjoyable, and joyful, but I realized that fun to me is equal to a rock concert, or a sporting event with lots of people. That may be due to my upbringing in NJ. People are equal to fun. I could be contemplative at cafes or museums, but if I pay attention to the people at some point then it becomes exciting. I should visit museums more. I have black and white film that I bought in 1999 that I haven't used up yet. (OHMYGAWD!) Anyway, statues in downtown DC are so expressive that I will take pictures, then I should just mosey on over to the museums. Luckily, there's a lot of good architecture in DC, also. I'll be inpsired to take more pictures. Definitely more than I took in Seattle because I wasn't that inspired. The best part of Seattle wasn't people based it was nature based, and I'm not a nature photographer unless there's lots of expressive snow :)
