Cookie Musings - 062407

I baked the following today from Carole Walter's Great Cookies:
triple chocolate pecan cookies
chocolate chip oatmeal cookies
chocolate chip peanut butter cookies; and I'm really tired. I tried them all, a bite of the last two, and a whole cookie of the pecan cookie. I tried bittersweet, which was slightly towards unsweetened, and the recipes called for semisweet. Unfortunately, WholeFoods doesn't sell semisweet, and the labels didn't state bittersweet. The labels were dark, milk, white, and I needed plainly bittersweet, semisweet etc. I just have to really know the difference in percentage between bittersweet, and semisweet chocolate. I should know. Next time I'll buy less than 60%, 58.5% callebut is available, and the one I used tonight was 68%. I thought that was bittersweet, but the recipe really needed something sweeter. They are still tasty enough to give away to Charlie's Place.
