Sweet Musings - 042907

March 18th I tried the Pistachio Torrone Bar. Today at Whole Foods I bought the Honey Almond Nougat Torrone Bar. The initial kick isn't as powerful as the pistachio bar, but it has a pleasant sort of wallowing in the mouth flavor. Eventually, I get the idea. I think I'll stick to these Torrone bars instead of trying out other bars, because most of the other bars sold are just chocolate with flavorings. These are like meals. There are so many layers of something or another, that the interest alone will keep me coming back.

Boy did I have a slight crisis at Whole Foods. I didn't bring a canvas bag because I decided to go there from somewhere else, and I just didn't want plastic or paper. Think think think. I didn't think I should get another Whole Foods bag as I have a couple (one is used to hold recycling and one is used to hold books I plan to give to libraries.) In the wink of an eye, though, that is what I did. I bought another Whole Foods bag, and maybe I'll keep it or give it to my twin. Maybe I'll always carry one around for emergencies like this one. These bags aren't the most durable, and they are kindof long, but they'll get done what needs to get done in an emergency.

I wish I knew how to garden. I gardened through the Seattle P-Patch many years ago, but I sucked at it. Also, there aren't many vegetables that I like or that I can cook well. I liked being part of the food bank plot, though. My favorite was the training in composting. That was great! That's what I would really like on my little patio; an herb garden and a small worm bin for composting. That would be great! Maybe one day. I just remember all the stuff I bought for gardening, and then to give/throw it away since I didn't use it - what a waste. I really want to be careful this time.

So, in honor of earthday, maybe I'll become a vegetarian, I don't have to admit to the label, just commit to the lifestyle. I'm getting label-d out. Also, always have an empty clean 12-coffee mug in my bag. Or at least an 8-oz for cappuccinos.
