San Antonio, Texas

I arrived in San Antonio, TX on May 1st, and I'll be leaving tomorrow, on May 6th. This is now my favorite city. It has charm, it has a lot of green, and the river. It has wind, and rain, and dark nights illuminated by fireworks. It also has scorching humid days that clean my soul right before I enter a centuries old cathedral. I wish I had more time or inclination to explore the missions. I was able to touch the Alamo while walking around with a couple co-workers.

I was here for convention work. This is the fourth annual convention I attended for my job, and it's better than Chicago, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. Boston is the city for the annual convention next year, so we'll see how that goes as I really love Boston.

I did notice the lack of homeless people. Either the city is on eternal lock down, or the government is doing something right, eh? I don't know enough about the city to see if homeless people have been driven away to certain sections or if there are resources available for people in need.

I hope I get a chance to come back here. :)
