Coffee Musings - 052707

Yippee! Back to Coffee Musings :) It's been a while. I gave myself a goal - once I finish the first drafts of Cookie Empress Cookies then I will buy myself a coffee maker. I threw my last one out because I felt I was too invested in the ritual, and not really paying attention to what else was around me. Since I threw my coffee machine away, or at least around that time, I started a new poetry project: M&Mx2 which is another 200 draft poetry project. I would drink a coffee/espresso drink at Mark's Kitchen/Mayorga Cafe/M.E. Swing, and write about it. My name is Maria so that's where the M&Mx2 comes from. Anyway, I was doing a lot of drafts, and I noticed I was eating a lot more. Since I have a tendancy to shrink all I own anyway, I didn't think much of it. Today, for the first time in 1-2 years I weighed myself so I'm going to decrease the enthusiasm for that coffee project. It's embarrassing to use a debit card for a $1.50 coffee, so I get a cappucino, and a cappacino is better with biscotti etc etc etc.

Yesterday, I bought Mount Hagen Organic-Cafe instant coffee. Now, you may think this is sacriligious, but I first tried it in Seattle over 10 years ago, and I really liked it then. I was so invested in the trips to cafes, that I didn't use it a lot. However, as I don't have a coffee machine, and won't until I complete the first step of a poetry project, and since I want to decrease my time in cafes, I bought this. It's got a sweetness, maybe that's the word, but it's good, and about $10.00 for 60 cups. Now, I can do coffee musings.
