I would strongly recommend that you subscribe to Google Alerts. They are the COOLEST things. I only get news on subjects that interest me, and for general news I've subscribed to a couple podcasts, and I can always just look at a newspaper website.

I've also created a GoogleReader page which is cool also. Many of my Google Alerts are also feeds on my GoogleReader page so I see the same information, but some different. It's just so cool to have news that interests me just thrown at me.

In fact, at work, I had to ask for information to post on a website. It was like pulling teeth because I just never got it. Now, with Google Alerts I always get information, and a lot is relevant to the topic of the website. I don't have to ask anyone for information, as the internet is throwing it at me.

I have a blog at work, also, and I need to increase traffic, big time. I think I'll start posting stuff from my GoogleReader or Google Alerts that I get at work, also. It's not mind altering compelling stuff. What it is, though, is useful, and that's what would make the blog of use to the people I work for.
