Coffee Musings - 082407

I never thought too seriously of supporting myself through writing. That is a lofty goal. The reason I never thought of it is because writing, trying to get the best language that I can think of, is incredibly exhausting. I could see writers growing old quickly. That's what exercise is for, though, to replenish the energy, and set the floating mind back on the ground.

I wonder if the best way to write a short story is to write scenes. I'm going to read some short stories to average the number of scenes, or see if that's even something to consider. I don't want to write a novel. I read poetry, and I READ a LOT of novels. It's a wonder I want to write short stories as I don't read them so much. But, well, they are shorter, than a novel to write :)
