I don't think that there's not enough time in a day, I think there's not enough focus in a day. I want to write. I want to read. I wan to run, and I want to needlepoint or knit. Not terribly exciting stuff to some, but most of it increases my passion for living. Unfortunately, I haven't been writing haiku much. The weather is getting better so I plan on taking more photographs, and as I take photographs I plan on writing haiku. It's like I've been recovering from the summer for a few months. At the same time I've been running and reading. I LOVE to read! So, that's not bad. I just need to win the lottery so I can have all the time in the world to waste :) I mean as a single woman no kids I don't have an excuse to not do what I want to do. All of my time is mine essentially. I just need to plan better.
When I wrote haiku like it was breathing I was living in Seattle, and I hated my apartment. I would just go somewhere and sit. Writing haiku during those times was natural. Observation, and finding links in the detail, and the whole is what haiku is all about. Maybe during lunch I'll spend 20 minutes taking pictures, and 20 mintues just sitting somewhere and writing haiku.
