Coffee Musings - 110607

Knitting's going pretty good. I'm past the gusset and almost to the toe. I'm glad I'm giving my first pair to my twin. She'll take the picture for me, and she'll get the socks :) She accepts what I give her unconditionally, and even though the yarn is beautiful, and even though my knitting is pretty good I can see some mistakes.

I'd like to make coffee sleeves and more socks. I'm getting sick of 8" #3 sock needles. I ordered two sets of 5" #3 needles, but they haven't come in yet. I almost broke down and bought a set at the knitting store I was at yesterday, but then I'd end up with 3 sets. I'd like to make my twin 4 Christmas stockings for her family's gifts next year. I'm not there to complete 4 before this Christmas, but instead I'll stick with the needlepoint I'm making them, and maybe knit some coasters. Staff at the knitting store made a coaster with very cool yarn, and then felted it. I thought AHA! finally, a gift I idea I can give to my parents, my brother and his wife, and my sister and her husband. The kids get movie/book gift cards :)
