Coffee Musings - 110907

Happy 11th birtday to my niece! I finished my first sock on Wednesday, but I haven't had much coffee in the morning at home so I haven't had a chance to blog here. I remember the last time I decreased my coffee intake in the morning from home, and I blogged less. Hmm, this is something I need to refigure. Maybe tea and knitting musings, or tea and reading musings? I don't know. Anyway, the first sock was on #3 needles 8", which SUCKS. The second sock I've started at #3 needles 6", and they already look much better. I'm looking forward to seeing how I've improved just based on ease of use of needles. My twin will take a picture so I can post them.

Also, I baked pecan brickle bars from Nancy Baggett's All-American Cookie Cookbook. They were excellent, and people at work loved them! I used dark brown sugar although the recipe calls for light, and I used maple sugar where the recipe calls for white, and I used european buttery, which made it really butter. Deepness!
