Due to the fast I participated in a couple weeks ago, I've decided to only eat fruit and drink water before noon. It's in the trial period to see if this is a good thing or a not so good thing. Anyway, at 10am today I bought a German Chocolate cake from Fireworks Bakery on 17th, and gave it to my co-worker as a gift for her promotion. About 8 of us ate it at our team meeting. I was very energetic after eating it, so I'm starting to re-evaluate which is really better for me. I don't think it was the chocolate as much as the decreased hunger. My concern is that if I ate breads too early then I would not eat fruit. I'm starting to really like apples, though. We'll see.
Anyway at about 2:30pm I went to The Point of it All needlepoint store, and all I could think about was chicken teriyaki because I was VERY hungry. I didn't eat lunch, yet. What happened the past couple days was that walking has reduced my hunger, but I didn't do a lot of walking today, and I really felt it. So, after I left the store I was still thinking of chicken teriyaki and determined to buy some at Wasabit on 17th even though I had hummous, feta cheese, and some olives in the refrigerator at work.
On the metro back to work there was a man, a rather attractive man with a 5 o'clock shadow at 3:30pm, and thick straight short brown hair, sitting directly opposite of me (we were near the doors) and I was so hungry I couldn't stop thinking about chicken teriyaki. For instance, his boots were the color of the chicken teriyaki sauce, and his leather bookbag was the color of the chicken dipped in the teriyaki sauce. His coat was a lighter color than white rice with chicken teriyaki sauce. He was falling asleep, and I didn't notice much of his movements except how he scratched his ears, or how his fingers moved, or how his head jerked if he fell too asleep, or how when I finally saw the shape of his eyes all I could think was they were so big they could hold an entire sea of chicken teriyaki sauce. The entire scene was quite palatable.
