For the past couple days I've walked for an hour during my lunch break. I like to just walk over to the Washington Mall because I like the sound of the rocks against my clogs. Clogs are great shoes for walking.
The view from the Washington Mall is the best view in the city. All the monuments, all so stately and impressive, and inviting. Sometimes I wish I would want to go to the musuems during my lunch break, but I quickly realize that I would rather walk, and I just keep walking. I walk little questions out of my head, and I walk the future to the point it doesn't matter. The sounds of the rocks and dirt against my clogs, joggers passing me during these unseasonably warm days, skittish police horses that are actually dancing to their own tunes.
After today's walk I bought a cappucino at M.E. Swing's and it was like a coming home party. Man, do cappucino's just feel good on the tongue, besides tasting good, and adding a boost to a time that was just boosted by all that wonderful walking. Life is good.
